PSI Proformance Inc Will adhere to all Federal Guidelines Related to the sale and Installation of Aftermarket performance parts, Please read below and Understand. PSI will not offer any Defeat, bypass, or Emissions affecting changes to ANY vehicle that is deemed street use without reasonable basis to confirm the vehicle has been converted to Competition use Only.
I have a street Car But I don’t have emissions Testing where I live ?
These regulations are Federal and regulated by EPA under the C.A.A of 1970 and its revisions. We do not care where you live we will not do it so DO NOT ASK !
Luckily Motorsports passion is alive and well, Many companies have generously taken the initiative to finance the testing and obtain CARB EO (California 50 state legal) emissions testing and approval for software, hardware, and performance parts falling under the category of tuning items. We have established mutually beneficial partnerships with reputable companies such as Cobb Tuning, AMS,APR, Dinan, Weistec, Renntech, Ford Performance,Diablo Sport and many others. Through these collaborations, we are able to provide customers with comprehensive Compliant engine modifications.. The definition of the use of Competition/Race parts is as follows:
Competition Use Only Parts are aftermarket components that are not permitted to be sold or utilized on a motor vehicle that is driven on public roads, unless the vehicle is solely used for competition purposes. These parts are designed to replace or interfere with the functionality of emission control devices, such as catalytic converters or oxygen sensors, and can only be installed and used on vehicles exclusively intended for closed course competitions.
Furthermore, for any work categorized as "racing" or "competition only," we may require the following evidence:
• Confirmation that the vehicle is transported to our facility via a trailer.
• Photographic proof demonstrating the deactivation of on-road features if applicable, particularly headlights, turn signals, and brake lights. Additionally, a clear photo of the vehicle identification number
• Off Road Tires, Wheels, Cage, Lexan or other Non DOT approved components.
• Photographic evidence verifying the absence of a license plate and/or registration card for on-road use. If the vehicle is registered, the registration must indicate non-operation status prior to any racing work or installation of competition-only parts by PSI Proformance Inc
All submitted documentation and accompanying proof (as mentioned above) will be retained on file, along with the corresponding parts invoice/receipt indicating the purchase of all "racing only" components by the customer.
PLEASE NOTE: THESE PARTS ARE LEGALLY PERMITTED FOR USE ONLY IN OFF-ROAD, COMPETITION VEHICLES AS DEFINED BY CALIFORNIA LAW. THEY ARE NOT LEGAL FOR USE IN ANY OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE.
According to California law, a "racing vehicle" is defined as a competition vehicle that is not operated on public highways (Calif. Health & Safety Code 39048). Therefore, these parts can only be utilized on competition racing vehicles exclusively driven on closed courses during sanctioned racing events. It is strictly prohibited to drive competition-only motor vehicles to racing events on public highways; they must be transported using a trailer or other carrier.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RESTRICTIONS AND USING THESE PARTS IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE MAY SUBJECT YOU TO LEGAL CONSEQUENCES.
It is your responsibility to adhere to all applicable federal and state laws regarding the use of these parts. PSI Proformance Inc hereby disclaims any liability arising from the failure to use these parts in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws.PSI Proformance Inc, and its employees Reserves the right to decline any services or sales to Customers and there vehicle we feel will, are, or may violate these laws.
